Banksy Studies Archive
Directed by Prof. Laura D’Angelo (PhD), the archive was established on 13 September 2019 pursuant to Legislative Decree 42/2004, 2008. It is based on Stefano Antonelli and Gianluca Marziani studies, research, exhibition, curatorial, critical, and editorial materials with the purpose of supporting disciplinary research on the work of the artist Banksy.
The archive gathers artworks, documents, materials, information, and data relating to Banksy’s oeuvre and its context from 1973 to the present day. All records are catalogued according to the ISAD(G) standard and are available in open data format. As of 18 February 2025, the database dedicated to the artist’s work includes: 124 documentary units and 189,461 archival items, organised into 10 Series and 20 Subseries.
